Basic Grey again! Pink and Brown! Don't remember what collection this is - Hold on, I will check.
This paper is from the SULTRY collection. I don't remember buying it though. Anyway, I am using these little stamps that have some wonderful messages. I took TONS O PHOTOS today so I am planning on filling my store tomorrow. Didn't realize that I was so low on BDAY cards. OK - have a great week!

WOW! I feel like I am getting behind - but I still feel motivated to keep up. Should we have a party when I complete the first month? YAY! These are not the best photos - again - but the following two cards were made today. Can you tell what kind of theme I am stuck on? Thanks for looking! By the way - the papers are Basic Grey! Time to dig some of that wonderful paper out and use it instead of collect it!

#24 and #25

WOW! I am just trying to get caught up. I hope that I never get more than 2 behind. I would say that mostly things are going great. Ideas have not stopped at all. This blog is really challenging me to look at the things that I have and haven't used. And its really what I wanted to do. At the end of this year, I will have this blog to look at. I hope and pray that I can do it! The family is cheering me on. And I have more motivation that I have ever had! I think I may sketch again tonight. That seems to do wonders for me and I can do other things while sketching. I look forward to Mondays and Fridays when I don't have any voluteering at school. CHORES first!
Ok, this first card is older, but I loved the colors of the green and the purple so much that I used up all the paper that I had in this color scheme. I will try and revisit it at some point. I also used my favorite cuttlebug texture.

This next card just sort of happened too. I dug out some stamps that I had purchased and wanted to use them. I found out that I had quite a few stamps with very meaningful messages. And it was nice to do something with them. After I selected the stamp, I selected the ink, from there, the card happened. Not too bad! Every thing looks so much better in person though. This card is up for sale in the ETSY store. I see from my list there that it is time to get the store filled!
Glad that I have 2 things going on at once. It really keeps me going!

Card #23, even though we are on day 24.

One day behind, and lucky to even be on the computer. Cable is out, so our internet is SLOW and the phone is CRACKLY! But, if you can hang on to this for tonight. I hope for a better day tomorrow. Here is a card using versamark - water mark ink in the baground. SO cool. I forgot that I had this stuff. Lucky for me, it wasn't dried out at all. I am completely rediscovering lots of things that I have and haven't used in a LONG while.

A card made with the oldest paper I have?

I found this paper in an old pack. It has FLOCKING on it? Like soft velvet. So pretty! Short note tonight. I spent the day at a friends house and didn't get a single thing done, but had a blast!

Card #21 - Made on another SNOW DAY!

The kids have now had 5 snow days this year. ( we are only allowed to have 3 ) So, it looks like we are scheduled to go a few extra days in JUNE unless the law changes. I am so ok with this because I want the kids to be safe! Anyway - I am trying to find new color schemes. Once I find one I like, I usually get STUCK on it for a little while. Don't know if this is a good photo, but it counts for today!

3 cards today! #18, #19, and #20

From a fantastic day at stamp club! Sure makes me think of the upcoming Valentine's Day. This first card is done using the stamp set VALENTINE DEFINED from the Stampin Up Occasions Mini Catalog ( Jan 4 - April 30 ) So many cute things in this set! The embossing folder and the ribbon come from Stampin Up as well. Cute, elegant and simple!

Card 1.18.11 - Inspired by Stampin Up and an afternoon with friends

This next card features the owl stamp that is available in the SALE-A-BRATION ( January 25th to March 31 ). For every $50 you spend, you get to select something from this cool catalog! The red glitter paper and embossing is of course from Stampin Up. SO MUCH FUN! "Love" in the lower right hand corner is from the stamp set mentioned above.

Card 1.19.11 - Inspired by LOVE and owls and a super group of stamping friends!

And here is another one from that fantastic sunday afternoon. Flamingos from he Valentine's Defined set. It is a fantastic set of 8 stamps. I am going to try to get my hands on this set ASAP. Below you can see a technique that I almost never use. SIMPLE SPONGING! A few colors that coordinate with the paper and a moon masked in the background . PRETTY cool. So nice to be stamping. I am loving it. So I am one card ahead and hoping for a snow day tomorrow so that I can do some more.

Are we at #16 Already?

Well, I have to tell you, that I had stamp club today! And you are going to have to check these out! I don't have them photographed yet, but you will see them. We meet once a month and I always learn a new technique and I always get inspired to get back to the basics of stamping. Don't get me wrong, I love card creating with the cricut. And I could do it all day. But I really love the way hand stamped cards look. I will show you some in the upcoming days. I will admit that this card was 100% inspired by my dear son. He made a similar card to this with gold coins. SO CUTE.

Card #15

Phew, I have made cards today. It has been great. What is not great is that I don't photo them very well. I have to wait for a semi sunny day. And it is winter - so they are rare. I am still making lots of Valentines Cards, but I couldn't wait to see the owl for St. Patricks Day! COOL ! I made a few of these. FUN stuff. I have to give some of the other critters some attention though too. What's next? I have another 2 days off this weekend so we will see.

2 Cards today, because I missed yesterday. Card #13 and card #14

Here is a happy cat dressed for Valentine's Day! Cute as can be on its own pillow. Not the greatest photo but cute as can be in person!

Card 1.13.11 - inspired by the holiday

And this snowman took an extra step, I stamped the snowman on cream card stock and then stamped him again on white so that I could trim him out. I used the same steps for the scarf. Check out the brads for buttons. The snowman was stamped in brown ink and the hat was stamped in black. TRIMMED out also. I like the earthy natural look of this card.

YIKES! I missed a day!

Not because I didn't have cards....Just because I didn't get them photographed! Hang in there!
Today you will get two!

Card #12

I just finished this. Pretty quick, but turned out super nice. Not the best photo, but remember, I am in my basement when I work. That is the only problem I have with being down here. The lighting. SHORT and sweet! Tomorrow is Thursday and then a 4 day weekend full of cheer leading, basket ball, and stamping. And it is so cold out!

Card #11 for 2011

SNOW DAY! YAY! I did work on cards this morning, and finished 3 new ones. Problem was that they didn't photograph well, so I use some of my ETSY posts to fill in b/c I certainly don't want to miss a day. I also had to be upstairs while my kids played outside. After that, I tackled a lobster bisque - so I wore myself out once I sat down. Anyway, I feel like I need more embossing folders! I think I only have 10... YES - I need more? I volunteer tomorrow and I hope it doesn't wear me out. :) Its nice to stick around home and do cards. OK - Short post. See you tomorrow. This weekend is a 4 day weekend!!!! YAY!

Card #10- 355 togo

And if we have a snow day tomorrow - I know what I am going to be doing! There won't be that much snow in the morning - but it will be snowing all day....what will they decide? Anyway, here are some of my FAVORITE pug cards. I loved doing them in all the colors, and matching papers. I just shipped an 8 pack of pug cards to HAWAII! Yay for me! OK, another short one, but I will be back at cards tomorrow. The kids and I did our snow dance. PLEASE o PLEASE!

Number 8- This is not cheating.....

This card was/is made and posted on ETSY - one of my truly favorites! I have done and sold this in pink - and there will be more cupcakes for sure. The reason that I am posting a card that has already been made is because I have about 20 - NOT KIDDING cards in the midst of being completed! I have found a method to madness and this is how it goes... You will understand when you see them. I don't know if they will all get posted here, but they will surely get posted in the store. THANK YOU TO RECENT BUYERS! CHEERS! yay for me! It just makes want to make more. Saturday nights from here on out are craft night! or shall I say - CARD NITE!

I am starting to realize what a challenge this is - 365 cards -- that is a lot of dedication and focus. I think this is good for me, I feel like it

Card #7

I love Basic Grey! I tend to collect it more than use it. But these "love" cards turned out great. There is a set of 4 of them on ETSY. Maybe I will try and make some more BG cards. Yes? Tonight is a card night. I am pretty excited to have a card friend over. It is always great to share ideas, get inspired, learn new things. Should be fun! I have an order for some Valentines cards and I guess I better get those going too. I am just happy that it is the weekend!

1.5.11 - Card Number 5 - 360 to go!

OK, I didn't get to the cards today - but I can still pull one up that you haven't seen unless you have been to my ETSY store. I love owls. You will see them again.

Sorry this is short tonight.I was out with family having a very nice dinner. This means no dishes tonight! Thank you hubby! I worked very hard today. The Christmas trees came down. I think this is the longest that I have ever had them up. Tomorrow looks good for more cards!

Four Cards for 2011

Look! Look! More snowflakes! Very non traditional and not quite up my alley, but somewhere I wrote down a color combination of red, white and aqua. Looks really pretty in person. Wish I could remember where I got the color combination from. This is certainly self inspiring. Reminds me to reach out of the box of traditional. YAY! Have I done my 10 SNOW cards yet that I originally intended to do? Don't know, but I am getting ahead of myself with lots of CUTIE PATOOTIE Valentine's Day Card. You can see those in my ETSY store.

That's if for now, I have a bulletin board to do for the morning. Almost done with that and guess what it has? SNOWFLAKES!

Three Cards - 3 days - Can I keep this up?

Short and sweet. Love this stamp set from Stampin Up. I think is is called a Tree for all Seasons. A fantastic set that can do a lot ALL YEAR LONG. You may see these again because I love them.

I sure am glad that I have attempted this challenge. It really helped me through these past few days. I have felt focused and inspired. Sometimes paper inspires, sometimes the stamps do, sometimes its the cricut. Fortunately I have the space and time for right now to enjoy and go for it. A card a day for a year. That would just be awesome. I am allowing myself a few hiccups, but as long as I intend for 365 cards by the end of 2011, I will feel awesome! I am posting these on ETSY as well. Why not?

365 Days of Cards - Two down, 363 to go...

Another Sizzix Sizzlet snowflake card. I made a good handful of these snowflakes with scraps and put them aside. I really wish you could see the way that they sparkle. The snowflakes are made from DCWV Linen Closet cardstock stack. These papers are so pretty that I don't want to use them. But I have used them alot. The rest is just cardstock that I felt looked good together, and of course the textures come from Cuttlebug. Border punch is Fiskars. I think I need to work on the back drop of my photos though. Not very pretty down here in the basement. The sun is out today so maybe I can shoot a few more photos for the week!

The question of the day is to take the tree down or not take the tree down.... hmmmm

365 Days of Cards - One down, 364 to go...

Yes, a card a day is a bigger challenge than the simple 10 cards of snow that I thought I could do. But, I did enjoy my few days of being "off duty" with the kids to make a few cards. The goal still stands to post one a day. Today's post fell together nicely. Even pulled some scraps out for this winter blue snowflakes. I love scraps. They want to be something too. Fun yes? You may see this patterned paper again. With the way I work, things tend to take a life of their own and become something.

In any case, the snowflakes are from a sizzlit sizzix die with some white sparkly paper and the blue HELLO is made with those old label makers. If you look close, you can see that I used a background stamp from Stampin Up, tone on tone to add more texture look to the card itself. I will have another to post tomorrow.
